What you should expect from a Spiritualist Medium

If you are considering having a private reading with a Spiritualist Medium, or to visit your local Spiritualist church for either a demonstration of mediumship or a religious service, what should you expect?

A private reading is less formal; there are no other persons around, hence the term private reading. Information of an evidential nature can therefore be more in depth, taking on a more personal aspect, in essence bringing your loved ones close to you once more. You can expect a courteous host, a welcome smile, and of course confidentiality and discretion.

If it is to be your first private reading, then you should be given an explanation of what you can expect: if you are unsure ASK.

The church platform is however a little different; there can be as many as 50 people in the audience/congregation, and some of the information, of an evidential nature, has to be monitored by the medium in order that no offence is caused to the person receiving the message, from a loved one or friend. Information of an evidential nature can not be as personal as is often the case within a private reading.

Though the private reading and the public demonstration are different in their delivery, there are factors which are common to both, of which you should be considering.

The aim of a Spiritualist Medium is to convey information from the spirit side of life in such a way that it leaves room for little doubt that communication with the spirit side of live is indeed taking place, that life continues after what we term "physical death" that our loved ones and friends still minister to our needs, they love us still.

The most important aspect of any private reading or public demonstration is to establish the identity of the spirit person conveying the information to a love one, namely YOU.

·Relationship of spirit person to you the recipient, such as Grand mother on mother’s side of the family.

·Physical description, as detailed as possible, height, build, hair colour, clothes normally worn

·Personality - were they humorous or terse, easy going or strict, mannerisms.

·Method of passing - Heart attack, cancer condition, or as a result of an accident

·Name, first and surname is proffered though not always given

·Address, more so a geographical area, such as Birmingham, Bradford

·Profession, what work where they employed in whilst in the physical body, any hobbies such as gardening or airfix models.

·Have they been around - this is often overlooked by the recipient, though such information as "The spring on your back door has recently broken" or "You broke your favourite blue vase yesterday", "I was with you when you sat on the end of the bed looking at my photograph last night" such occurrences as these provide proof that our loved ones and friends are around us.

·Message, our loved ones may wish to impart a pertinent message to us, wanting to pass on their advice, offering their assistance in the way they would have whilst in the physical body.

When having a private reading or visiting your local Spiritualist church, please bear the above factors in mind. Granted not every one will be met as each medium will work in a differing way from another, though you should expect a minimum of four of the above. Remember if you are unsure say so.
